Our FLES (Foreign Language Early
Start) program began in fall 2007. Each week,
kindergarteners receive 20 minutes of instruction
and 1st and 2nd graders receive 30 minutes of
instruction. In each succeeding year, another grade
will be added until all children, K-5, are receiving
Spanish instruction. Through music, art, movement
and conversation, students will begin to explore the
Spanish language and Spanish speaking cultures. The
FLES program will be push-in with ties to the
content of each grade level.
