Guilderland Dutchmen graphicThe athletic program at Guilderland Central School District is founded on the principle that the playing field is indeed an extension of the classroom and the athletic experience contributes to the growth of mind and body.

The cornerstones of the Dutchmen tradition were laid generations ago by some of the community’s most respected student athletes, many of whom continue to be involved in the athletic program as supportive parents and sports boosters.

While the names change from year to year, the principles they embodied remain the same–dedication and desire, cooperation and compassion, and the importance of working collectively toward a common goal. These are just some of the ideas that echo across the Guilderland playing fields and gymnasiums.

In conjunction with new initiative "Dutchmen Committed," guest speaker John Underwood to address student-athletes at assembly on September 15
We would like to share some exciting news about an important initiative we will be starting this fall in our athletic program! The initiative will be called “Dutchmen Committed” and it will be dedicated to assisting all of our student-athletes in making solid lifestyle choices, now and into their future. The most overlooked aspect of reaching an elite level in anything is lifestyle. We are committed to giving our student-athletes the knowledge and assistance necessary to reach their elite level in life. To kick-off the initiative, Guilderland High School will welcome guest speaker John Underwood, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, in the main gym.
