All students will be required to purchase the FMS Assignment Notebook. This will be available from homeroom teachers on the first day of school for $3.50. Students may bring in exact cash or a check made out to FMS, to be collected on the first day of school in homeroom.

Students are expected to keep up with reading over the summer to keep their minds sharp. During the year in Social Arts, they will be asked to list all summer reading using Goodreads, so make sure to keep track! We will be setting up our accounts in the fall. A list of recommended book titles is available on the Guilderland Central School District website and at the Guilderland Public Library.

Important Locker and Lock Information
All returning Grade 7 students are expected to bring back the lock they were assigned the previous year and brought home over the summer. New Grade 7 students will be provided one, free-hanging, combination lock in homeroom at the start of the year. Students are responsible for their provided lock for their entire career at FMS. At the end of the school year, students will take their assigned lock home for the summer and bring it back for the next school year.
● Students who misplace or lose this lock will need to purchase a replacement. We encourage them to purchase a school-issued lock at a cost of $5 at their house office.
● Students must purchase their own lock for the locker they will use in the Physical Education locker room.

Physical Education at FMS
Welcome to Physical Education at FMS. Each student will be assigned a locker in which they should store their clothes/belongings. The following items are needed for physical education class:

● Combination padlock (please, no key locks)
● Change of clothes (shorts/sweats, t-shirt/sweatshirt)
● Pair of sneakers

For students needing to get back to FMS for athletics or other activities will be brought back by shuttle at 3:30 p.m.

Google apps
Our team does a lot of work utilizing students’ Google accounts. If students and parents have devices that they utilize at home, we highly recommending downloading these free apps that we will be using this year:
