Dear Fifth Grade Parents/Guardians:
We are very excited to announce the upcoming Fifth Grade Transition Activities at Farnsworth Middle School.
Parent Information Night: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4
Parents of fifth grade students are invited to attend the FMS Information Night on Tuesday, April 4 at 6:30 p.mm (This program is intended for parents and guardians only.) Information tables will be set up in the FMS Cafetorium for Art, AIS Math, Counseling, Family and Consumer Science, Health, Music, Physical Education, Technology and World Language. A brief video, A Day in the Life of a Sixth Grader, will be shown at 7:15 p.m., followed by a question and answer session with the principals.
Grade 5 Visit to FMS: 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday,
Fifth grade students will visit FMS on Thursday, May 18. All fifth grade students will be dismissed from their elementary schools at approximately 11:30 am. They will be transported by bus to FMS in order to experience a modified sixth grade schedule. Fifth grade students will be escorted to their regularly assigned elementary late buses for a 3:00 p.m. departure from FMS. All fifth grade students are encouraged to ride the bus home in order to provide a smooth transition opportunity for all children. Any early dismissal notes or change of PM bus destinations should be completed at the elementary school prior to this day.
