Dear GCSD Families:
We grieve with the families of Adam Toledo and Daunte Wright, as well as for the countless other named and unnamed victims of violence, racism and oppression that continue to happen every day. These continued acts of violence across our nation must stop.
It’s up to all of us to hold ourselves, and our district, accountable in calling out injustice where it happens, and uphold our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do. Our students and staff are at the front of our minds as they absorb, react and process the complex emotions and realities of the world we live in.
At Guilderland, we believe that all of our students and staff members should feel safe, supported, and included, regardless of race, religion, country of origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, and/or ability. We recognize the power of compassion and conversation, and the importance of providing an equitable experience to all individuals within the district. We are committed to doing this important work.
