On Monday, May 9, at 6:00 p.m., the Guilderland PTA Council is hosting a virtual Meet the Candidates Night to introduce potential board of education members to the community. The forum will be livestreamed on the GHS Media channel on YouTube and will be recorded.
District residents will vote on May 17 to fill four seats on the Guilderland Central School District Board of Education. Candidates run at-large and are elected to unpaid terms.
Three candidates will serve three-year terms beginning July 1, 2022. The seats are currently held by Gloria Towle-Hilt, Barbara Fraterrigo and Kelly Person. One candidate will serve a one-year term until June 30, 2023, to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of board member Benjamin Goes. Kimberly Blasiak was appointed by the board to fill this seat until the next regularly-scheduled school board election. Candidate bios are available on the district website.
