Congratulations to Charlie Mulligan (Varsity Hockey) and Elizabeth Liu (Varsity Indoor Track) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of Jan. 17.
Charlie Mulligan (Varsity Hockey)
Charlie is the captain of Storm hockey. In four games this past week, Charlie scored four goals and had three assists for a total of seven points. He also had a plus/minus of four, making him a huge factor in all four wins for the Storm. Charlie is the definition of a leader. He takes control of the game and helps everyone be better players on and off the ice. He is a role model for everyone and players look up to him.
Elizabeth Liu (Varsity Indoor Track)
Elizabeth had a fantastic meet at Utica College on Sunday, Jan. 23. This was the first time this season that Liz competed in all three jumping events and she did an outstanding job. She finished 7th in the triple jump with a season best 33’3″, 8th in the long jump with an all time personal best jump of 15’6.5″ and she tied her season PR in the high jump, clearing 4’8″. It takes a lot of endurance and focus to compete in that many jumping events and Liz has worked very hard to be competitive in all three events.
