A message from Superintendent Wiles:
Dear Guilderland CSD Families,
There is no shortage of troubling news all around us and the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic continue, now with a new variant that has just reached New York State. While it might be natural for us to feel discouraged, I encourage everyone to remain diligent in their health and safety habits and to focus on the positive things that are happening in our community.
Here are a few inspiring examples of genuine good work in our school community. Be sure to follow the links! A GHS student has written, illustrated and published a book. The GHS Italian Club made lasagnas to donate to needy families through Lasagna Love. The FMS food drive collected 649 pounds of food for their backpack program and WES is currently holding a food drive to benefit the Guilderland Food Pantry. We can all be proud of these (and many other) kind, generous and uplifting activities that regularly happen in our community.
