A message from Dr. Wiles:
Dear Guilderland CSD Families,
I hope you are staying safe and warm on our first snow day of the school year! There are two items I’d like to make GCSD families aware of for next week. The first is that you will receive a communication including a secure form to submit COVID-19 vaccination information about your students. This information will be utilized for situations when it is necessary to contact trace COVID-19 exposures and to help us make decisions regarding future mitigation strategies. Like all other immunization records, this information will be confidential and will be maintained by your building’s school nurse.
Watch for a 2022-2023 school budget ThoughtExchange
We will launch a 2022-23 school budget ThoughtExchange early next week. This online forum will provide GCSD families and community members with the opportunity to share their priorities for the 2022-23 school budget. Guilderland residents are also invited to provide public comment at Board of Education meetings to offer budget recommendations. The next BOE meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb.15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Large Group Instruction room at Guilderland High School. BOE meetings are also live-streamed and can be viewed on the GHS Media YouTube channel.

Support music education at the annual Pops concert on Feb. 12
The annual Pops concert will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, 7:30 p.m. at the Guilderland High School West Gym. Tickets are required for this event, with all proceeds supporting music education in the Guilderland Central School District. With an 80s theme, this is certain to be a fun evening!
As always, thank you for your continued patience and support. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and get to enjoy the winter weather.
Sincerely,
Marie Wiles, Ph.D.
