The Butterfly Station at Farnsworth Middle School will run from July 11 until August 9, with new hours this year. The attraction will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and, beginning on July 18, Thursday evenings, 4:30-7 p.m.
The Butterfly Release Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, August 9 at 9:30 a.m.
Guided tours will be conducted daily. Free to all visitors, the Butterfly Station is a student-run, community service program designed to educate about the Albany Pine Bush Preserve and the importance of butterflies to our local habitat.
