Guilderland High School has been designated a 2020-2021 Gold Star No Place For Hate School by the Anti-Defamation League. This designation recognizes Guilderland High School’s commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
The No Place For Hate initiative is designed to create inclusive communities and empower schools to challenge all forms of bigotry. “The No Place for Hate Gold Star designation means that we are moving in the right direction as a high school, but we realize that building our culture and climate takes consistent effort and we can never stop working on it,” said Guilderland High School Principal Michael Piscitelli. By participating in No Place for Hate, Guilderland High School has the opportunity to create a safer learning environment, promote unity and respect, and reduce bullying, name-calling and other expressions of bias.
