Dear GCSD Families,
I’m writing to provide you a few updates and reminders. Please see below:
In-person Instruction on Tuesday, Jan. 19
Last week, due to the number of staff who were absent because of quarantines, grades 5-12 had a change in schedules and were remote-only for part or all of the week. Unless under quarantine, all students will resume their in-person and hybrid classes starting tomorrow, Jan. 19. There are a few groups of students who will continue on remote instruction; they are listed below. Please keep in mind that the situation can change quickly and if there’s a need to transition from regular in-person instruction, we will let you know as soon as possible.
The following students will remain remote-only through Thursday, Jan. 21, and return on Friday, Jan 22:
- PBES Grade 5 at FMS
The following students will remain remote-only through Friday, Jan. 22, and will return on Monday, Jan. 25:
- The Comprehensive Skills Program (CSP) at GHS
- Grade 6D Mohawk at FMS
2021-2022 School Budget Thoughtexchange
Please take a few minutes to give your advice to the district as we develop the school budget for the 2021-22 school year. Participate in our 2021-22 Budget Thoughexchange, an online forum. You can submit and rate thoughts until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021.

GCSD Diversity & Equity Committee Meeting, Jan. 20
The district’s Diversity & Equity Committee is meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 20. You are invited to watch the Jan. 20 E&D livestream of the meeting on the GHS Media YouTube page at 7:00 p.m. Members of the school community can submit questions or comments for the group by emailing superintendent@guilderlandschools.net with “E&D Public Comment” in the subject line.
