Congratulations to Lauren Wasserbach (Varsity Volleyball) and Eric Aumand (Freshman Football) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of June 2.
Lauren Wasserbach (Varsity Volleyball)
Lauren has really stepped up to be a leader for the volleyball team this season. She strives to keep everyone focused in practice and encourages everyone to have fun. She has helped organize team bonding like setting up and decorating the lockers in the team room. She constantly asks questions to improve and is not only a leader to the other seniors on the team, but to the juniors and and to players on the JV and modified teams!
Eric Aumand (Freshman Football)
Eric has been the example of a student-athlete you want in your program. Eric is a hard worker and always gives 100% during any activity in practice. Eric has shown the ability to be a great teammate as well. On numerous occasions, I have witnessed Eric be supportive of his teammates and he also has shown great sportsmanship when competing in drills. It is a pleasure coaching Eric for Freshman Football this season!
Each week, we will highlight two student athletes (Modified, Mod 9, Frosh, JV or varsity level) for athletic accomplishments based on the following criteria.
- The athlete should have made a significant impact on a contest within the nomination time frame, which is the week prior to selection; or…
- The athlete must have shown excellent leadership, sportsmanship, noticeable improvement/effort, community service and/or other notable trait(s).
