Congratulations to Michael Scuzzarella (Varsity Football) and Katie Dickerson (Varsity Volleyball) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of September 12.
Michael Scuzzarella (Varsity Football)
Mike has had two outstanding games to help the Dutch football team to a 2-0 record in the early season. In those two games, he rushed for 208 yards (a average of 9 yards per carry) and scored 5 touchdowns. On defense, he leads the team with over 20 tackles. Mike plays hard and practices hard, and is an unselfish player who does the little things to help win games.
Katie Dickerson (Varsity Volleyball)
Katie played an important role in the Lady Dutch’s perfect 3-0 week last week. As a setter, Katie runs the show for our offense. She also plays exceptional defense. In a match against Saratoga on September 15, Katie recorded some impressive stats: 20 service points, 22 assists, 18 digs and 5 aces. It was the best game she’s played yet and the icing on the cake of a tremendous week of game play.
