Candidates wishing to seek election to the Guilderland Central School District Board of Education must submit a nominating petition, which can be obtained by emailing the District Clerk at livingstonl@guilderlandschools.net.
On May 20, 2025, voters will elect four board members to fill four vacancies of three-year terms beginning on July 1, 2025.
Nominating petitions require 43 signatures of qualified district voters to run. They must be submitted to the District Clerk no later than April 21, 2025 at 4 p.m. Candidates must also complete and submit a Board of Education Candidate Profile form.
To run for the school board, candidates must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, a qualified voter in the school district and be able to read and write. They must also be residents of the school district continuously for one year prior to the vote date.
